I have used the Stainless Steel Razor a couple of times for a face shave using a Personna blade. I did get a close shave without any nicks or cuts but there was a distinct blade feel and I had to be careful when using the razor. I like the heft that the razor has and it is well built and has all the attributes of a CNC made item.
Where there is room for improvement is in the blade feel and in the handle. The handle is made up of concentric circles which are good when holding the razor and shaving. However when tightening the head and especially when loosening it after shaving, one has to be careful because those same concentric circles cause your grip on the handle to slip. I have a device that holds the head when loosening the handle and that prevents any cuts that may happen. I also noticed that when you have lots of lather (which happened on my second shave), the slots at the bottom tend to fill up and clean as easily unless you rinse it under the tap with strong flowing water. My usual method is to use a bowl of hot water that I use to swish the razor into when rinsing and that method was not adequate.
I like the razor and will keep using it and try different blades, but for all of the reasons cited above, it gets a good but not great rating. Please keep in mind that I have several other high end razors from Wolfman, Blackland, Rocnel and Tedalus - so the comparisons are with an elite group of razors when giving this a rating of Good.
